Every single day, we help men who want to look their absolute best. While having a well-defined personal style certainly involves quality clothes and how you wear them, it’s also about a lot more than that. If you really want to hone your personal style into the pinnacle of what it can be, keep these four things in mind.
Attitude. Kindness and politeness matter, especially in the current social climate. When you know you look like a million bucks, it can be easy to let it go to your head, but keep in mind that a lot of how you appear to people isn’t just about what you’re wearing. People may not remember what specific outfit you wore on any given day, but they will remember how you made them feel. A good attitude is one of the best ways to be memorable and boost your image – not just for others, but also for the guy you see in the mirror.
Confidence. It can be easy to confuse this with arrogance, but real confidence is about being comfortable with who you are, and not feeling threatened when others express who they are. You know where your talents lie, and how you can be helpful to those around you. Let that confidence lead you – it will shine through, inside and out.
Actions. They do really speak louder than words, and in fact the things you do will leave a stronger impression on people than just about anything else. There’s an oft-quoted Zen saying: the way you do anything is the way you do everything. If you strive for integrity and excellence in all your actions, it shows in every aspect of your being. There’s great value in consistently doing your best, and in treating people how you yourself would like to be treated.
Gratitude. It’s important to remind ourselves that we’re all really fortunate. In particular, if you’re in a position to be dressing in high-quality clothing, it’s essential to recognize that, be thankful for it, and pass some of that good fortune on whenever and wherever you can. A sense of entitlement doesn’t look good on anyone, but a sense of gratitude always does, and you have a lot to be grateful for!
Our trade-in sale is coming up in a few days, so it’s an especially good time to do some spring cleaning in your closet, and set aside items that are perfectly good but that you don’t wear anymore. We’ll give you some great trade-in discounts on new pieces for your wardrobe, and in the process you can help us give back to the community. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
