Reflection
What a year it has been in the haberdashery!
The core of our business is the relationships with our clients, many of which span multiple decades. Due to our long history, we sometimes hear a longtime client has passed, and it’s always difficult to bear. We have witnessed many clients grow in their careers and family life, and even had the immense pleasure of meeting their sons and grandsons. They will be forever with us as we regale stories of them within these walls.
This year we were honored to meet many new faces that immediately felt like old friends. Some from the neighborhood and metroplex, and others new to our state of Texas. Whether it’s your first time at Ken’s or your fiftieth, your haberdashers will always give the same level of respect and service that is in our DNA.
We have said hello to new brands in 2025 and loved watching them take flight! DEKE was amazing in 2025 and is looking even better for the spring of 2026. Teleria Zed urban western shirts were snatched up quickly, and Oncept elevated sneakers are being worn by most of our clientele.
Ken’s events continue to bring us together for fashion, service, and community. The twice annual YMSL group of teenage boys (freshman and sophomore) are a highlight for Kramer and myself. We love educating these young men on style, purpose, and the art of dressing. Our trunk shows with brands and mills bring everyone together in camaraderie of awareness, function, and personalization. Plus, all of the charitable activities we all do around the city give us purpose and hope.
We look forward to continuing and connecting through 2026.
Envisioning
Your haberdashers already know some of the new brands that are heading our way this spring. One of them is a connection from the recent past.
Within the collection are new takes on current styles and brand new trends for you to peruse. Our goal is to always be providing an environment for your wardrobe to evolve. We do this through off-the-rack brands and custom creations. It may be as simple as trying a new color, or attempting a style that you didn’t even know was possible.
We are planning even more events in the spring and fall of 2026. Within each of these is an opportunity for networking, connections, and community building.
At the same time, your haberdashers love giving our loyal clientele extra love. You will see this in the small details like gifts with purchase, free alterations, year-round gift wrapping, wardrobe visits, and more. It is who we are, always in the mode of servitude.
Some Things Will Not Change…
As your neighborhood haberdashery continues to grow, we will try our best to remain constant and consistent in regards to our style of service, quality, and communication.
We are a family here within the shop — one that works, plays, and grows. Our commitment is to these amazing relationships that serve our purpose in clothing, community, and education.
…but Some Things Will, and It’s About Time
Personally, in late 2025, actually a week before Christmas, I finally made the leap.
Suzanna and I moved into our new home together. No more shuffling back and forth between houses. It was a long time coming and we are ecstatic!
All of our children (seven combined) are now adults in their twenties and thirties. We’re also blessed with three grandbabies, plus one coming any day!
So, from my “home family” and “haberdashery family” to you and yours, we wish you all many blessings in 2026, with an abundance of health, happiness, and prosperity.
Cheers to new beginnings!
