Haberdashery News – December 2024

Limited Edition Socks

We have created two styles of hosiery in memory of our founder, Ken. The first ones have arrived at the haberdashery and are going fast! We will not be making more, so be sure to get yours.

This is our Holiday Sock in black.

The small fedoras all over the sock commemorate Ken’s trademark look. This sock pairs well with a multitude of items including jeans, charcoal or black slacks, and even tuxedos.

The second sock will be delivered this week. This is the Ken’s Honor sock.

The blue, gray, and red design features words that describe the man himself, as well as a handsome portrait. This sock is intended for jeans, 5-pocket trousers, or any blue slack or suit.

Proceeds of these items will benefit The Bill Hunt Memorial Scholarship, a special fund Ken himself started.

Thankful

This has been a year of highs and lows. In lieu of rehashing those peaks and valleys, I would rather say how thankful, grateful, and blessed each of us at the haberdashery feel.

It is a pleasure to walk into our shop each day and prepare for you. Ken’s is such a special place to us. Each of the haberdashers love to chat, visit, assist, care for, and communicate with our clientele.

Our interactions with you have been especially endearing given this is our 60th year. We have been saying that we are 60 years young, and we are just getting started!

Combination Holidays = Christmakkah

This holiday season will be extra special for many, due to the fact that Christmas and Hanukkah will be celebrated at the same time this year.

This gives everyone time to prepare for celebrations with family and friends. Please let us know what is on everyone’s wish list this year so we can do our best to serve you and your families well.

We will be open on Sunday the 15th and the 22nd to assist those who need some extra shopping days. Also, remember that your haberdashers love to wrap gifts. Please give us time to do this well for you!

We are looking forward to seeing you!

$60 Gift Card

Did you receive your $60 gift card? It was delivered to your mailbox over a week ago!

This card, celebrating our 60th anniversary, expires on December 13th. The offer requires a minimum purchase of $160. Please let us know how we can assist you this holiday shopping season.

The haberdashers at Ken’s look forward to making your shopping experience a memorable one this year!

Friday, December 13th

We are not superstitious at the shop. This date is a good omen for us here! Friday, December 13th is the day Ken was born. It is also the birthday of my mother’s father, Alfred Sallinger.

How could these two amazing men have bad birthdays, when the positive impact of their lives is still felt by so many? We will definitely be celebrating Ken at the shop that day!

We just released this video honoring Ken’s legacy. We hope you treasure revisiting these memories as much as we do.

As always, thanks for reading and being part of the Ken’s community — we wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season!
