Hello Ken’s family of clientele,
What a July it was! Carolina and I spent last week at the Dallas Market Center. This is one of the premier men’s clothing shows in the country. We shook hands with the people behind the brands we carry and got a first look at what’s coming for Spring 2027. Back here at the shop, our fall product is landing daily and we cannot wait for the rest! Meanwhile, students are gearing up for a new semester, and we had a wonderful moment of giving back.

The Dallas Men’s Show
A first look at Spring/Summer ’27.
Last weekend I was at the Dallas men’s show, and it’s always one of the highlights of my year. I remember when this market show was at the old apparel mart (anyone remember Logan’s Run?). There’s nothing quite like sitting down face-to-face with the owners and representatives of the brands we carry. We get to hear where their inspiration came from this season, what fabrics they fell in love with, and the little details they sweated over.
Those relationships and firsthand insights help us select the pieces we know will work for you, rather than simply choosing from an online catalog. The collections did not disappoint! We saw rich seasonal colors, beautiful textures, and a return to tailoring worn a little more relaxed, the kind of clothing that looks polished without feeling stuffy. We have already begun to place some thoughtful orders, and I can’t wait for you to see the overall theme and collections!

The new semester is nearly here, and this is one of my favorite times to help a family. Whether your student is heading back to high school or off to college, the right pieces make all the difference — a versatile blazer for presentations and events, well-fitting dress shirts, a few smart pieces of knitwear and sweaters, a couple pair of shoes, and outerwear that can handle a cold walk across campus.
Speaking of which, one of our clients recently came in for an overcoat before heading off to Purdue, and he looked absolutely sharp (that’s him above). A proper overcoat is one of those investments that will carry a young man from freshman year straight through to his first job interview. When designed right, it will never go out of style. This young man chose the Monet lining because it reminded him of his Art History teacher.

Fall Is Arriving Early This Year
The delivery trucks have been busy and new fall merchandise is arriving daily. You will find fresh pieces on the floor right now. This year we made a point of asking our vendors for earlier deliveries, and I’m glad we did! It means you get first pick of the season’s best while the selection is deep, rather than waiting until the leaves have already turned.
You’ll see the season’s key colors and textures coming together across sport coats, knitwear, trousers, and accessories. My advice? Come in soon, and drop by often! The standout pieces and the best size runs always move first, and getting a head start on fall means you’re ready the moment the weather turns. We are happy to walk and talk you through what just landed.

Giving back is what we’re about.
I want to close this issue with something that means a great deal to me. This week, Kramer stopped by and dropped off donations for some of our clientele. It was a genuinely kind gesture, and the kind of generosity that reminds me why I love our community. Giving back is a big part of who we are at Ken’s. We’ve always believed a haberdashery is more than a place to buy clothing. It’s a part of the neighborhood, and taking care of one another is simply what we do. My sincere thanks to Kramer for the thoughtfulness, and to all of you who make this such a special place to come to work every day.
