Father’s Day 2022 was extra special in celebrating all things Dad! We had many fathers and sons drop by these past two weeks – what a great tradition to pass down to the next generation.
One of the teens was even picking out his first suit from Ken’s, which was remarkable because back in the Garland days, his father also bought his first suit from us when he came in with his dad who was a client!
Another generational client brought in his baby and toddler sons for the first time. While they are still a bit young for the clothes, they were able to enjoy the camaraderie of the haberdashers!
We also hope this 16-year-old pitcher will be wooed by our Texas Rangers!
Every Sunday my dad, Ken, loves seeing all the images that I share with him from the week. We chat about the “old days” and all of the families that have become a part of the larger Ken’s family. Ken even remembers the items each gent bought on their first visit!
I had to throw this one in the mix – this is Alexander, Carolina’s son, who is 5-and-a-half years old now! He loves coming into the shop to assist his mom with mannequins, vacuuming, and cleaning the mirrors.
We are definitely starting him young!
It is not just fathers who visit us with their sons. Sometimes it is the grandparents who bring in their grandsons for an occasion! Kramer worked with these gents to get them fitted for their rental tuxedos, so every generation of the family can celebrate in style together.
These Are Not Your Typical Trainers!
Wolf and Shepherd’s newest additions to the shop are the Crossover Victory Trainers. Even though you can certainly wear them for training, the “crossover” part of the name lets you know that these versatile shoes are suitable for a wide range of activities.
For example, you can wear these new styles for:
- casual work mode
- date night
- weekend fun with the family
They bring all the comfort of the Wolf and Shepherd brand, but with a dressier style to the sneaker.
Please drop by to see what all the fuss is about!
What to Wear When It Is This Hot?
We Dallasites have had it easy these past four years, with not too many days over 100 degrees. Well, this year seems like we are going back to our traditional expectations of summer weather: hot, hot, hot!
Here are a couple of suggestions from your haberdashers on how to withstand the heat this summer.
If you’re in and out throughout the day, the fabric content of your jacket is important, and these two jackets from our LBM collection are perfect for the heat!
They are made of a cotton/poly blend in a deconstructed style, with no lining and no shoulder pads.
They work well with open-collared shirts, polos, Henleys, and crew knit tees. The bottoms can be slacks, khakis, or 5-pocket trousers. This is the type of jacket that you can wear all day without overheating!
