A “Super” Bowl Winner
Wolf & Shepherd have a new ambassador for their shoes: Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski from the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers! We have already seen Brooklyn Nets coach and former Dallas Mavericks star Steve Nash in their other advertising campaigns – this brand is teaming up with the right people.
For the 2021 season, Ken’s has shifted even further toward comfort and style. Gone are the classic cap toe and derby shoes (even though we can still order them), and in their place are the laced SwiftKnit Derby, featuring the ultimate stretch and comfort, as well as the Crossover Loafer, or the Monaco Loafer in suede. These styles can go anywhere with this year’s business outfits, whether to an after-hours meeting, the office, or the home office.
Style always comes first, but comfort is king.
Spring Is around the Corner!
Why talk about the polo shirt? Go look inside any of our clients’ closets and you will find numerous polos. However, most of those polos are for golfing – the polos the Ken’s team have put together this season are for different occasions.
The home business polo shirt. As I wrote in a previous blog post about “Zoom wear”, business leaders now want and expect their teams to be more attentive to what they’re wearing for video conferences, or even just at the home office. If you are appropriately dressed, then you feel better and work more efficiently. Sometimes it only takes a collared shirt to achieve a great result. We purposefully scoured the market for all styles – banded collar, quarter-zip, camp collar, or button-fronts with up to 4 buttons. Everything from performance polos to silk, linen, merino, or fine gauge cottons. Ken’s recommends pairing these polos with 5-pocket stretch trousers, dress slacks, sport coats, and Zoom pants.
Drop by to see all the offerings this season! We will be having new deliveries every single month through the end of July 2021.

Our bestseller this year has been the performance and stretch jersey shirts – drop by to feel the fabrics and order yours today!
Ken’s Custom Dress Shirt Event begins the week of March 22nd.
The Samuelsohn Custom Trunk Show is April 1-3.
This is no joke! Samuelsohn have upped their game year after year with innovative fabrics and designs. Their spring swatch collection arrives mid-March!
The fastest selling swatch to date is the seersucker in a 4‑way stretch. Most men are using this fabric to create jackets with a patch pocket, a bit shorter in the fit, and half-lined for breathability. This is a fabric that was introduced last fall, but it is really picking up steam now!
Please reach out to your haberdasher to schedule your one‑to‑one appointment.

The Bestselling Pant Since Covid Began…
Our Brax Chuck model marathon 4-way stretch 5-pocket pant is the winner of the year! More men have called back to inquire how many other colors we have available, because this super soft, luxe, washable, stretch fabric has everything a man needs. A superior fit in both the leg and the rise, extreme comfort in all parts of the pant, with a terrific feel to the fabric.
This pant is also available in the Cooper model, which features a regular fit for those gents with larger thighs and developed seats.
We’ve been pairing this jean with sport shirts and tees, but also with sport coats and shirt jackets. This is our favorite pant to go from the office, to the home office, and back again!
Just Another Survival Story…
We are thankful to have stories of survival to relate.
I have to admit that it isn’t getting any easier to continue pivoting through crisis after crisis, but there are lessons and blessings in each and every one of them. Ken’s was fortunate that the shop survived this round relatively unscathed, only having to stay closed Monday through Thursday.
In the meantime I was able to get all of the Fall 2021 buying done from my house! This was a different experience, but it worked out fine. Both John and Mark lost their power and water, but were able to either secure a hotel room, or stay with family. Carolina provided shelter for two families while bunkering in their home in west Dallas. Ken and Jerri did not have any complications from the storm, thank goodness!
Many of our immediate families, friends, fellow Dallasites, and Texans were not as fortunate. We have spoken to many, and begun assisting in our unique way. We are all family when it comes to these storms, tornadoes, natural disasters, and pandemics. Sometimes it takes prayer, other times getting a mop to clean up broken water pipes, going to a grocery store to pick up needed supplies, or volunteering to assist in our communities. We all want to lend a helping hand to make sure you are safe at all times.
Ken’s will not be taking donations of clothing this season. We would instead like for you to drop unwanted items off at your area churches, Red Cross, or the Texas Relief Fund. This will ensure they will go directly to those who need them the most, as quickly as possible. We thank you for your thoughtfulness and time.
Continual prayers for all,
Kory Helfman
