Refinement for Every Season of Life

The month of May in Dallas carries a certain rhythm. Milestones are reached, invitations arrive, and life shifts outdoors. At your haberdashery we see it every year. Not just as a shift in the weather, but as a change in wardrobe, intention, and opportunity.

The Season of Graduation

There are few moments more meaningful than watching a young man step forward, whether it is from high school into college, or college into the professional world.

And yet, what he wears in that moment is often overlooked.

A proper fitting suit is not simply for the ceremony. It becomes his first uniform of confidence — for interviews, presentations, weddings, and early chapters of his career. For some a full suit is the right foundation, and for others a thoughtfully tailored blazer paired with the right trouser creates versatility without sacrificing presence.

What matters most is that he should walk into the next chapter looking like he belongs there.

At Ken’s, we guide both the young man and his family through this process. It is about fit, proportion, fabric, and the details that separate him from the crowd.

Patio Season in Dallas

In Dallas, patio season isn’t casual; it’s social. Dressing for it requires a balance of ease and confidence.

Your approach should be deliberate:

  • Dressy shorts with clean lines and proper length. Not gym shorts or oversized ones.
  • Polos that hold their collar and structure. These are designed to sit comfortably under a jacket if you so wish.
  • Untucked shirts, whether long or short sleeve, cut to be worn precisely that way.

The difference is subtle, but unmistakable. You are not dressing down, but dressing appropriately for an evening that may lead into the night.

An Evening with V.K. Nagrani and Dapper Works

There are events, and then there are experiences.

On May 14, we welcome V.K. Nagrani into the shop for a one-day-only presentation of his latest limited collection, alongside his core pieces. These never stay on the floor long.

Dapper Works will also be joining us. He is bringing his assortment of Texas wares for men: shoe horns, lapel pins, tie racks and more. This is your chance to get ahead of Father’s Day with local, handmade gifts.

This is simply not about new arrivals. This is about access to design, a story, and pieces that will not be repeated.

If you’ve been waiting for something different, this is your day.

May 14th, 1:30pm to 7:30pm

A Season of Celebration with the AHA

One of the great privileges of what we do is seeing our clients step into important moments fully prepared. This year’s Côtes du Coeur gala for the American Heart Association was no exception.

From classic tuxedos to personal expressions of formalwear, the room was filled with gentlemen who understood that dressing well is not about standing out, but about showing respect for the occasion.

Kramer and I had the opportunity to see so many familiar faces, each one representing the relationships that have defined Ken’s for decades. This is what we truly value.
