Haberdashery News – Mid-April 2026

Moving with the Season

Spring at the haberdashery is never just about clothing – it’s about momentum. The rhythm of the season is defined by the events we attend, the people we stand beside, and the confidence we carry with us.

Over the past few weeks that rhythm has taken us from meaningful community gatherings to moments of celebration, and into the arrival of the new season in the shop.

Côtes du Coeur

Each year this evening benefiting the American Heart Association is a reminder of what true elegance represents: coming together in our finery to honor those whose lives have been impacted by heart disease, and to pay respect to scientists and healthcare providers for their enduring hard work. As with any setting, your presentation speaks volumes without even saying a word.

Black-tie, when done correctly, is about precision, a proper silk lapel, a shirt that frames the face, and a fit that allows you to move through the room with easy confidence.

Many of us use the same tuxedo year after year. Add freshness to your formal attire with two small, but meaningful updates: a new bowtie and pocket square.

Below are a few options. The biggest conversation starters sell out fast. Stop by and freshen up your look this week.

We’re proud to be part of this life-changing organization and hope to see you at the Côtes du Coeur on April 25!

Spring Tee Arrival

Our newest arrivals were selected specially for the Dallas weather and the men who live here.

We’ve brought in lightweight sport coats that transition effortlessly from meetings to dinner, shirts that hold structure while remaining light, and trousers that balance comfort with presence.

These pieces are the foundation of your wardrobe, performing day after day, in setting after setting. As we move from the cool to the warm seasons, your clothing selections should shift accordingly.

Our spring / summer collection includes more types of t-shirts with varying size necklines to go under jackets, with dress trousers, or untucked with shorts. Each of these t-shirts were chosen to fill a specific need in your wardrobe.

Take advantage of updates in style and clothing technology to look and stay cool in the season ahead. Drop in soon.

Garnet is one of our brands that is not found everywhere. We love the color of the t-shirts, the height of the collar, and the fact that they can be worn tucked in or untucked. Before we put them on the floor, we tested them in our washers and dryers. These t-shirts did not shrink or fade!

The Power of Shared Perspectives

There is an undeniable strength in coming together with people who care deeply about the same business as yours.

The latest gathering of Common Threads (our collective retail group consisting of fifteen haberdasheries around the country) brought together a network of retailers who understand that this business is not transactional, but relational.

We spoke about what is working, what is changing, and what will never change.

In a world that moves fast, it’s grounding to be reminded that the best shops in the country are still built the same way: one client, one relationship, one moment at a time.

Save the Brax Date!

One Day Only: April 30

On April 30, we will welcome Brax into the haberdashery for a focused trunk show built around one of the most important categories in the men’s wardrobe today: five-pocket trousers. Brax is the leader in this category, offering performance fabrics, dress pants, denim, and cotton chinos.

These pants bring versatility, comfort, and professionalism to your wardrobe.

We will be working one-to-one to refine, fit, explore new fabrications, and build out an important part of your closet that really shows off your assets.

Appointments are not necessary for this event, but being present will be.

Book vs Film

This blog’s recommendation sits somewhere between imagination and inevitability.

I’ve spent time with Project Hail Mary, both on the written page and through the audiobook, and I’ll tell you plainly that the audiobook may be the better experience. The narration pulls you in, builds tension in the right places, and carries you forward in a way that feels personal.

I haven’t seen the film yet, and I am in no rush.

Some stories deserve to live in your mind a little longer before they’re defined for you on the screen. When it arrives for streaming, I’ll watch it the right way: uninterrupted, comfortable, and ready to take it in fully.

What makes the story resonate right now is the timing. With missions like the Artemis program and reminders from above – meteorites passing through our atmosphere – it’s easier than ever to feel connected to something larger than our daily rhythm.

Good storytelling does that. It expands your perspective without forcing it.

On a personal note, and this one always makes me pause… In the late 1960s, my father, Ken, was approached about producing silk undergarments for astronauts to wear beneath their suits. With a different decision, and a different outcome, who knows where the path might’ve led?

That is the thing about business and life. Trajectory isn’t built on one moment; it is built on consistency, relationships, and the decisions you stand behind overtime. I’m so happy we stayed our course! In many ways that has allowed us to still be here, serving you, while continuing to evolve without losing who we are.

To you and yours, please enjoy a happy and fashionable springtime!
