Top to Bottom Event: October 9th
This is our largest event of the season!
Join us on October 9th from 11am to 6pm, for a three-brand trunk show featuring Brax, Emanuel Berg, and Brookes & Hyde.
Our Brax rep, Rene, will be here from Austin to show the latest Brax Feel Good / Look Good pants. New color selections, a couple of new styles, and plenty of fabric mixes will be on display!

Emanuel Berg shirts have been at Ken’s for a while, but we have begun to add more of their product mix to the haberdashery. Discover soft jackets, quilted vests, yoga series stretch shirts, the Albini 4Flex stretch shirt, and uber-luxe sweaters.

Marybeth Walsh will be in attendance to highlight this season’s best buys!

Connor from Brooks & Hyde just welcomed his third child in under five years! He promised me he would make one special trip away from his family for our big event.
He is bringing plenty of new styles of belts and buckles all the way from Ohio.
We can’t wait to share these exciting styles at this special trunk show!

Ceremonial Suits
Every man needs at least one ceremonial suit in his closet.
Sadly, you never know when you might receive a phone call saying it is time to go to a funeral. Our motto is that you should always be prepared.
We brought in an exclusive ceremonial suit to the shop this season from the Drago mill in Italy. This deep navy fabric works year-round and looks like something James Bond would wear.
If we do not have your size in stock, we can create this suit custom for you.
Investing in Future Men
A group of freshman class students from all over North Dallas dropped by the shop two Sundays ago. These boys are in the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) group. They were a mix of students from Hillcrest HS, St. Marks, Jesuit, Parish, Trinity Christian Academy, and more.
We covered topics including:
- Social skills
- Expectations on being a gentleman in today’s world
- Clothing for different events
- How to pair shoes to outfits
- How to tie a tie
- How to wear cologne
and much more!
There were many questions and and a lot of banter. It is more imperative today than ever before that young men learn about these topics. I was impressed by their willingness to listen and learn from someone outside their home. Hearing this information from multiple sources helps them retain and apply the knowledge!
We’re excited for this future generation of men, and have already helped a few of them select items to up their game.
Local PR — This Is Book-Worthy
Bird’s Bookstore finally opened in Preston Royal Shopping Center, right between Eatzie’s and Royal China.
The owners, Drew and Emily Dawson, are as amazing as they look! They have a knowledgeable staff of book nerds (like me) who just love being surrounded by books, magazines, and more.
The moment you walk in, you will feel how special this store is. They have brought something truly unique to the neighborhood, including a “secret” café serving sweet treats and coffee made from local Oak Cliff beans.
When you visit, please mention that your friends at Ken’s sent you!
Post Malone at the Cattle Baron’s Ball
Yes, you read that correctly! Do you have your tickets to the Cattle Baron’s Ball? If so, do you have the appropriate city-western look for the Southfork Ranch?
Drop in soon to get your two-step in step. And yes, Post Malone will be performing at the event!
Thanks for reading this far…Don’t forget our big event on October 9th!
