2021 is the antithesis of 2020
This time last year the retail community had a plethora of merchandise leading into the holiday season – so much so that sales and promotions were popping up well before the usual Christmas rush. This year, exactly the opposite has happened.
Most retailers have not only reduced their inventory, but many have flourished through the second, third, and now the fourth quarters, selling through their inventory. That has led to the current scarcity of merchandise that doesn’t surprise anyone. We are seeing and reading about it everywhere we look. As such, you may find that 2021’s holiday shopping experiences are more about taking advantage early, rather than relying on the overflow of stock that would usually be available after the gift-giving season.
Luckily, your haberdashers have been communicating non-stop with our trusted brands to bring in a new mix of clothing and items for the holidays. We all deserve to celebrate after the 2020 that was. 2021 has truly been a “lounge to luxe” year!
Added to this mix is the Shop Local experience, that “loving feeling” when you know that where you shop makes a difference and shapes your community. Ken’s believes in this common thread, for it ties us all together.
Here are some of the celebratory brands that are already starting to arrive at the shop for this holiday season!
Vuori
The first holiday shipment of Vuori just landed this week! After the initial reaction to this brand we knew our clients loved it, and we couldn’t agree more! After all, who doesn’t want to open a super soft lounge pant or shirt during the holiday season?
We brought in every color of the most popular Ponto Pant, and we also have the Camo Jogger! To mix with these we have multiple styles of tops in the fabric feel you expect from Vuori.

Greyson
This exciting brand is new to the Ken’s mix. They really have a different spin on the short sleeve polo, plus a huge, loyal following known as the “wolf pack.” As the weather gets colder, ’tis the season for Greyson’s lightweight outerwear, sweater knits, and pants, all of which are on their way to us. We will be showing the new items on our Instagram the minute they hit the shop, so stay tuned for our howl!
Ken’s Private Label
Our long sleeve custom polos with dress cuffs have been a proven winner. We unveiled numerous designs during the Partners Card, and the sales show just how popular these amazing knit tech polos are.
Our polos can be worn untucked with denim, or tucked in with a sport coat. This is a great way to replace a dress shirt for a more casual look.
We have many permutations of colors and weaves, any of which can be created in our custom area and delivered before the holidays!
The Ken’s matrix leather jacket is now in stock! Come in to feel the fabric and see how beautifully the leather drapes over the body – it really has to be seen to be believed.

Hanukkah
Hanukkah is early this year! It begins on Sunday, November 28th and goes until December 6th. For those families celebrating, please let us know how we can assist you with gift wrapping or ideas for those eight special nights.
Celebrating 100 years!
No, not us, yet – the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is celebrating a century of service! Ken’s is proud to be a supporter of TSRH since 1993, and this year we would love to “turn up the volume.”
Bring a new toy or book to Ken’s between November 29th and December 23rd for donation to TSRH to have your name put in our holiday stocking.
On the evening of December 24th we will draw a name from the stocking and award the lucky winner a $500 Ken’s gift card!
Go ahead, play Santa… for each item you give, your name will be placed in the stocking!
This year, in lieu of displaying the donated toys and books on the pool table, they will be under our mannequins in the front and back windows for all to see.
